Penta El Zero Miedo last competed on AEW television on the July 17th episode of Rampage, where The Lucha Brothers (Penta and Rey Fenix) defeated Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) in a tag team match. However, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion competed in several independent events despite being absent on AEW television.
There were rumors recently circulated on social media regarding Penta’s status with All Elite Wrestling and WWE’s interest in signing him. The 39-year-old has now been removed from the roster page on the AEW's website, confirming his departure from the company.
In 2019, Penta El Zero Miedo made his All Elite Wrestling debut, along with his brother Rey Fenix. They won the AEW World Tag Team Titles by defeating The Young Bucks in a Steel Cage match at the 2021 All Out pay-per-view. The Lucha Brothers formed a trio along with Pac known as Death Triangle. On the September 7, 2022 episode of Dynamite, Death Triangle defeated Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, and Orange Cassidy) to win the vacant AEW World Trios Championship.
